What the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls ?

The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls (IORG) is a youth group for girls between the ages of 11 and 20. Local groups (Assemblies) are sponsored by Masonic affiliations. Usually the sponsoring body is either a local Masonic Lodge, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter, or Order of the Amaranth Court. The girls learn about charity, hope, and service through their work and involvement with their annual local and Grand (state or country) service projects. On April 6, 1922, the degrees of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls were first exemplified on a class of one hundred seventy-one girls in the auditorium of the Scottish Rite Temple in McAlester, Oklahoma. If you would like to know more about the history of the Order, the Supreme Temple or the founder

The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls is only affiliated with the Masonic Lodges, Order of the Eastern Star Chapters, and Courts of Amaranth. Many groups and organizations use the name of Rainbow in their title or organizational name. We are NOT associated with any other group than the three listed above.

Supreme IORG Official Email list

The Official IORG E-mail list and the Official Supreme Assembly Web Site, otherwise known as the Supreme Assembly Internet Project, has been given approval to continue operating indefinitely. This was done by the House of Gold at the Supreme Assembly session in St. Louis, Missouri, in July of 1998.

Membership requirements for joining the Supreme Assembly E-Mail List are that a person must be able to prove the reasonable need for them to belong the list by being a member in good standing in the IORG, Majority Member, Mason, OES, Amaranth, Job's Daughters, DeMolay, parent, grandparent, or a legal guardian of an active IORG member. Be aware you may be asked at any time to prove your affiliation by sending a copy of your dues card or other verification to the Supreme Assembly Committee on Internet Activities. Also be aware you may randomly be verified by the committee contacting some of our contact people in a jurisdiction to verify you have the proper need to be a member of the list.

This E-mail list is for communication among it's members only and is NOT for "official Supreme announcements" to the membership. Official Supreme announcements will continue to come through your Supreme Deputy or Inspector. Questions posed to the list may receive "official" answers if appropriate. Announcements may be discussed within the list if appropriate. Supreme Deputies and Inspectors may remove you from the list or issue other disciplinary measures if necessary. Please read the guidelines before applying for membership to the list. The guidelines may be read by clicking on e-mail list guidelines. This list is strictly moderated for the protection of our youth.
